The Southeastern Pennsylvania Air Force Academy Parent’s Association has been in existence since the early 1990’s. The association was formed for the purpose of promoting a better understanding of the United States Air Force Academy and to provide support and guidance to cadets and family members from our region. The falcon has been the mascot of the cadet wing since 1955. Members of the Class of 1959, the first to enter the Academy, chose the falcon as their mascot because they felt that it’s speed,
powerful and graceful flight, courage, keen eyesight, and alertness
best characterized the combat role of the United States Air Force.
Our falcon pin features the Academy’s four class colors: red, yellow,
blue, and silver. Proceeds from the sale of this pin will benefit these
fine young men and women who have chosen to serve our country
as future officers of the United States Air Force.
